Product Properties

If you want to move beyond the stock strap that comes with your Apple Watch and looking for a classy leather strap that doesn't break the bank, you're at the right place. The quintessential leather strap. Baranil leather from Haas tannery in France is widely used by Hermes, and Hermes doesn't just choose any leather to use. It only uses the best. This is the same Baranil that Apple uses for its Apple Watch strap, and Hermes for its Birkin bag.

Baranil leather is soft and supple, just the right firmness, and has the perfect shade of brown. It has a very smooth surface, with just a tiny bit of gloss. Closer inspection can reveal the beautiful grain on this leather. It has moderate scratch resistance which means you don't need to baby the strap. Small scratches can be buffed out with just some slight rubbing. This also means that Baranil is able to develop a beautiful patina that results in a slight darkening of the leather with use.

Note: Delugs is not affiliated with other watch brands such as Apple, and the strap was developed independently by Delugs. Intellectual property rights of watches, visuals, trademarks, names and logos belong respectively to each related watch brand.

Baranil Leather from Tanneries Haas in France
The buttery-smooth calfskin has a mellow and plush feel, with just the right amount of rigidity and flex. Fine pores on its surface add to the leather's beautiful grain, and grant it the ability to catch the light at a range of angles. This results in a soft gloss which complements the patina that it develops with use. Read More

Saddle Stitched by Hand with Linen Thread
Every strap is saddle stitched by hand by our leather artisans. Unlike lock stitch created by machines, a saddle stitch is more durable as it is made of two independent stitches that forms a knot at every stitch. Linen thread in 0.35mm thickness was selected for a fine and natural weave.

    Sealed Edges for Long-Term Durability
Our edges are finished with multiple layers of edge paint to seal the raw edges. The edges are sanded and edge paint is applied. After the first layer of edge paint has dried, another round of sanding and another layer of edge paint is applied. This process repeats until the edge paint is smooth and uniform.

    Hypoallergenic Zermatt Leather for Lining
The straps are lined with Zermatt leather from Haas tannery, specially developed for use as a lining material. It is soft to the touch and comfortable even after hours of wear. The leather is water- and sweat-resistant and works well even in hot and humid climate such as Singapore.

316L Stainless Steel Hardware for Apple Watch
Every Apple Watch strap comes fitted with a 316L Stainless Steel Buckle and Adapter. With its brushed finish, it brings about a sophisticated yet durable look to the strap. Choose the buckle and adapter colour to match your Apple Watch (Note: we do not offer red or blue buckles).

Premium Strap Packaging to Protect Your Strap
Every strap is shipped in its individual silicon packaging, which was specially developed to ensure that the strap does not get damaged during transit. With reinforced eyelet holes at the sides, this packaging has dual-use purpose in mind - you can use this packaging to store and organise your watch straps.

unfortunately did disappoint but unsure what the market offers

wasn’t actively searching for leather bands but have thought of getting something. found this local brand becos randomly searched ed sheeran and the news did mention about delugs.

    1) though their offer mentioned site wide - it wasn’t totally site wide as the custom mades are excluded. idk if the watch band industry encourage impulse purchase or what because i definitely needed time to read and browse their not so friendly website in terms of how it looks (well not sure if all watch band company is implying if you are not impulse buyer then don’t buy since browsing some other bands website it also have very minimal pics to help with real life how the band will look which is very disappointing as don’t people have their $5-10/hour part time ever in their lives?!?! like even aft discount it is still few hours or a day of salary and exclude the time that im supposed to be sleeping i was looking around for how it’d look irl..) like i also couldn’t just pop in their shop to see the straps (or perhaps the sale was targetted at regular customers huh)

    2) that was tough to do. also disappointing that most stores either carry a too short or too long strap - it speaks alot about ux ui stuff like im unsure if people wear watches alot so they have zero difficulty with the straps (a product is supposed to make lives better right? so my wrist is about 15cm and i chose s but i think i should have chosen m or l. it definitely didn’t help that i immediately tried it than to “imagine” and hence i can’t return now anymore (not that i tried asking) as leather vs other straps wouldn’t have any sort of bent.

    3) theres also lack of pics on internet about how patina will look. because won’t brown become darker brown? or it doesn’t patina so quickly.

maybe i expected too much from a local brand who seem to market themselves decently, pride their products and people who buy such straps earn alot (since i don’t think other watches - the straps on this site - made for = are that affordable) and have been so used to be paying hundreds and more for a piece of strap and is fine if it sits around not being used etc im not 1000% sure.

was definitely loving the grey colours - also learnt abt neutral colours to pair stuff but doesn’t seem they have full range for apple or could lower the custom pricing idk.

btw yeah choose the “black watch” finishing to get the black matchings

slight shock was when i was putting it on the adaptor and the fitting part also popped off. thankfully yes i did watch the company’s youtube videos and have been quite ok to fix stuff in general i did slot it back instead of writing in, not 1000% sure if “it is norm” / “has issues”.
