Inspired by the iconic straps worn by divers in the 1950s and 60s, our Tropic straps are made from high-quality FKM rubber to offer superior durability and water resistance, making them the perfect companion for your watch, whether on land or underwater.
Our Tropic Rubber CTS comes with a basket weave pattern that creates a dynamic play of light, adding visual depth and texture when viewed under direct light, and also helps with grip.
Our CTS Rubber Strap is customizable to fit your wrist perfectly regardless of wrist size and is secured with a leaf-spring deployant clasp featuring a mechanism that makes putting on and taking off your watch convenient, secure and fun. What's Included
Find Your Lug Width
If you're looking to purchase a strap for your watch, you will need to know the lug width of your watch. Lug width refers to "A" in this schematic below.
There are two ways to find out the lug width of your watch.
- Firstly, you can Google "<watch brand and model> lug width" and see if there is an answer from the brand's website, or some other websites.
- Alternatively, you can simply take a ruler and measure the lug width directly on your watch.
Lug widths are typically in whole numbers, and while the most common lug widths are between 18-22mm, they can go down to 8mm or up to 32mm even. Our ready stock straps are available in 16mm, 17mm, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, 24mm and 26mm. If you need other lug widths, you can have it custom made.
You will then need to purchase a strap of the same lug width. For example, if your watch has a lug width of 20mm, you will need to purchase strap with a width of 20-16.
Note: Our Widths typically have two numbers, for example 20-16. The first number (20) refers to the lug width ("A" in the schematic above). The second number (16) refers to the buckle width ("B" in the schematic above). You just need to ensure that the first number matches the lug width of your watch.Â

Waterproof
The material and construction is waterproof, and the strap can be soaked in water for extended periods.
Cut-To-Size
The strap comes in one length, and can be easily trimmed down to fit any wrist size, for a comfortable, secure fit.
Rubber Lining
The strap is crafted with a rubber lining, for increased sweat resistance while worn on the wrist.

I'm a big fan of dive watches - both modern and vintage, and it's hard to ignore the role of the vintage tropic rubber strap and how important it is to the world of vintage divers. I picked up these straps to pair with some of my modern (and vintage) divers, and I'm glad I did. The design is engaging, and the new leaf spring clasp has been significantly improved from prior versions, with improved finishing and a more ergonomic design.
This is a great strap.
It has been on my wrist for over a week and I am immensely enjoying the look and feel. It’s comfortable, secure and stylish. Not surprising, It's received a few compliments already.
The Navy Blue is fantastic, it pairs well with most dials, whilst the unique basket weave pattern adds character and charm. It isn’t all for show, the pattern enhances the grip and ensures the strap stays comfortably in place, no matter what you’re doing.
The customizable cut to size feature ensures that no matter your wrist size, you'll get the perfect fit. I must say, I was a little anxious cutting the strap at first, however Delugs offer an easy to follow video which helped ease my nerves.
Lastly, it comes with a custom made spring type Deployant Clasp, adding functionality, style, as well as elegance to the strap. I really enjoy using this clasp as it makes wearing and removing the watch a seamless experience.
