Strap Guide: Kurono Tokyo Seiji

Strap Guide written by @olli.verThank you Oliver!

Introduction

Hi, I'm Oliver (@olli.ver) and I would like to showcase this “ladies' watch“. Yes, you might have heard of it, the Kurono Tokyo Seiji was intended to be a watch just for female customers. But after some time Kurono Tokyo decided to offer it to everyone who's interested or at least 500 people that are interested. Because it's limited to this amount of pieces. And thank god, that was a good decision!

It's just a really great mixture of a dresser and so-called “summer-watch“. I mean, 37mm case, turquoise dial, only 7mm thin, and it goes really well with different straps.

But to keep it short and simple and not to bore you with too many words we should start into the setups with some different straps. Here we go!

Brown Waxy Slim Strap

The rustic look of this strap works great with the cleaner look of the Seiji and complements its plain look. The rich and warm color contrasts with the slightly cooler turquoise and with its slim profile it also matches great to the thin case.

Cream Saffiano Stitchless Strap

This bright colored combo with the strap’s fine structure and pattern and the bright colored dial is just great for a nearly daily casual wear. Saffiano is also an ideal all-purpose-material where you don’t really have to worry about the durability, and you can just wear and enjoy. It also matches great with the slim profile of the Kurono.

Grey Waxed Canvas Slim Strap

This combination is a bit more on the slightly robust side. It matches great to a more textured outfit and offers more possibilities for combination of colors. The pattern of the strap and it’s softness shows great wearability and comfort.

Light Grey Nubuck Slim Strap

The one strap to match ‘em all…

As far as I know this is one of the most sold strap by Delugs and I guess it’s because it complements just nearly every possible dial-color and outfit. Combined with this clean, reserved appearance of the Seiji, in my opinion it offers the ultimate go-to combination for nearly every casual outfit and occasion.

Natural Shell Cordovan Slim Strap

Compared to the Brown Waxy Strap this one is a bit more on the brighter side and with less texture and pattern. This combination also matches a bit more to a more formal outfit but still doing a great job when you’re just enjoying a Cafe Latte on a lazy Sunday.

Nubuck Denim Ostrich Signature Strap

The Big Boy…When coming to a color-match this is the combination you should think about. With its padding, this strap has much more presence on the wrist and measures nearly the height of the watch, but still wears awesome. The exotic texture is a great addition to the Seiji’s plain dial and combines great to jeans, as well as even former outfits to use it as a dedicated eye-catcher.
