Cartier Santos-Dumont line is extremely well-received and very versatile with leather straps given the dressy nature of the watch. However, there is a lack of 3rd-party strap options as a special insert is needed to ensure that the straps fit flush with the watch. While regular straps could be used, it does not create an integrated fit that flows nicely with the case, which is not ideal. We are now able to craft integrated straps using the same metal adapters, to craft a strap that is a perfect fit for the Cartier Santos-Dumont. Read more about this release here.
Saffiano leather is extremely popular amongst mainstream fashion. Even if you don't know its name, you probably have seen it before. It's an embossed pattern that has very pronounced and uniform grain. The scratch and water resistance of Saffiano is amongst the best there is.

Strap Length Guide
There are two sides per strap, which we refer to as the long end and the short end, which are represented by C and D respectively in the diagram below.
Our handcrafted leather straps come in 3 different lengths.
- Small (C: 105mm, D: 65mm)
- Medium (C: 115mm, D: 70mm)
- Large (C: 125mm, D: 75mm)
A quick way to decide on the length to get is based on your wrist size. Here is the general recommendation (if you are between sizes, we recommend to size up):
- Wrist size of 14.5cm - 17.0cm: Small
- Wrist size of 16.5cm - 19.0cm : Medium
- Wrist size of 18.5cm - 21.0cm: Large
If you need a strap that is shorter than Small (105/65), or longer than Large (125/75), you can always have the strap custom made.

The strap provides an integrated fit with the watch - i.e. there is no gap between the strap and the case. This also means that the strap will only fit the specific model / reference number of watch as specified in the listing, and will not fit any other references.
Chrome Tanned
The animal hide is turned into leather through a tanning process that uses chromium salts and tanning liquors. Chrome-tan is a more industrial tanning process, and the resultant leather is typically more pliable, with greater water-resistance and scratch-resistance properties. Chrome-tanned leather are generally also available in a wider range of colours.

I recently purchased the CTS rubber strap for my Dumont watch, as advertised on their website. It was supposed to be compatible, but upon receiving it, I quickly noticed the knob on the quick release scratches the back of the case. This was an incredibly frustrating, especially considering the high price of the strap.
After I raised my concerns, they were kind enough to offer me a discount on another strap, the integrated leather strap. However, my disappointment only grew. When I received the leather strap, I found loose threads on the edges, and the edges themselves were unfinished. For a strap that comes with a hefty price tag, I expected far better quality.
When I put the strap on my Dumont, it protruded awkwardly, revealing the poorly finished edges on all four sides. This is completely unacceptable for such an expensive product. If the price had been 70% off, I might have been more forgiving, but at full price, the quality simply doesn’t match the cost.
Overall, my experience with both straps has been disappointing. I had high expectations given the price point, but the quality just doesn’t live up to it.
