Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I live in Toronto and was born and raised in Canada.

When and how did you get into watches?

I have always been a watch person. I have my parents to thank for that as they both wear watches. His is a Tudor Oyster Prince that he still wears to this day, hers was a gold manual wind watch that she’s since misplaced. My first watch was a Seiko Tank which I got in university. Most of my collection was acquired from 2018 and on. Watches are never something that I considered to be a hobby until I joined Instagram. It’s been a solitary hobby for me, for most of my life. I always liked looking at watches and felt incomplete without one.

Apart from watches and photography, what are some of your other passions or hobbies?

I have always been a collector, starting with stickers when I was a little girl, to jewelry, watches and vintage furniture as an adult. My main interests are pretty simple; gardening, cooking, and spending as much time as I can with my husband, two kids, and our families. I tend to look for obscure movies, like foreign films or indie movies by A24. I’m an avid reader of classic novels and am re-reading many of the books that I read in school. I also like to write random stuff in notebooks as writing activates a different part of my brain.

What is your favourite watch brand and why?

My favourite watch brand is Cartier. I think the requisite for picking a favourite brand is that you would wear at least 80% of their watches. And although I like many other brands, the only brand that meets that criteria for me is Cartier. If I had to pick a favourite brand in general though? Tudor. I like what they do, and my dad’s only watch is a Tudor.

What is the one watch in your collection you never thought you would own, and why?

The one watch I never thought I would own is the Tudor Black Bay 36. It’s more tooly than my usual watch taste. But sometimes when you do something out of character, it works out really well!

Are there any specific watch complications or features that fascinate you the most?

I love a moon phase and I am still upset I haven’t found a moon phase watch to tempt me. I also love seeing chronographs on other people. Something about all those sub dials gets me every time.

Do you have any daily rituals related to watches?

My only daily ritual is wearing one!

Why did you decide to join the Delugs Ambassador program?

I was hesitant at first! Being an ambassador for a brand is not something I would normally consider doing. But I love Delugs’ products and how you engage with the community for feedback. Delugs has a strong digital brand, which is an area that I respect since I have worked in the space for many years and know how hard it is to accomplish that level of success. I am honoured to be a part of the program.
