Meet our Denim Leather Collection — A Familiar Texture, Reinterpreted

Few materials are as universally familiar as denim. It’s textured yet understated, casual yet versatile — a fabric that has long transcended its utilitarian roots to become a staple of modern style. With our new Denim Leather Collection, we wanted to capture that same character in a watch strap.

The result is a collection that combines the tactile appeal of denim with the durability, structure and refinement of lambskin leather.

A Familiar Texture, Reinterpreted

At first glance, these straps resemble woven denim fabric. Look closer, however, and you’ll discover that they are crafted entirely from chrome-tanned lambskin nubuck from the Cuirs du Futur tannery in France — specially treated and stamped to recreate the visual depth and texture of denim.

This gives the collection a relaxed, fabric-like appearance that collectors enjoy, paired with leather's resilience and longevity. Unlike actual fabric straps, our Denim Leather straps maintain their structure over time while offering a more refined and versatile finish on the wrist. On the other hand, their appearance will slowly change as you wear them — made of nubuck, they will darken over time from exposure to skin oils.

This aspect of patina should feel quite familiar to fans of denim. As a natural fabric, denim is likewise prone to wear and tear, with colours in certain areas fading over time and with repeated washes. While the visual effect is reversed on our Denim Leather collection, the appeal nevertheless remains the same — each strap will take on a unique appearance, reflecting the wearer's lifestyle

Beyond Traditional Leather Textures

Leather straps are often associated with familiar finishes — smooth Baranil, linen-like Babele, Alligator, Ostrich Leg. While timeless, these textures can sometimes feel expected.

The Denim Leather Collection takes a different approach. Its woven-inspired surface introduces a softer, more casual visual language while remaining unmistakably leather. The texture catches light differently, adding subtle depth and contrast that pairs especially well with modern sports watches and everyday wear pieces.

Another important feature of the collection is the tactile sensation of the straps. The napped surface of the stamped nubuck mimics the feel of mercerised denim — not rough or slubby like loomstate. The unique production of this leather type also gives it a very slight pliability, not unlike actual fabric. This, combined with the straps' visual distinction, helps them to stand apart from the rest of our handcrafted leather strap collection.

Eight Colours, Eight Personalities

The Denim Leather Collection launches in eight colours: Izmir Blue, Mustard, Emerald Green, Maroon, Indigo, Stone Washed, Light Grey and Dark Grey.

From rich saturated tones to softer washed neutrals, each colour highlights the texture differently. Some lean sporty and casual, while others take on a sleeker, more refined character. Together, they offer a wide spectrum of styling possibilities across different watches and aesthetics.

Signature Construction

The Denim Leather Collection is available exclusively in our Signature strap style — a construction that balances structure, comfort and versatility. The clean profile allows the texture itself to remain the focal point, while preserving the refined proportions Delugs straps are known for.

The Denim Leather Collection is available across all ready-stock lug widths and strap sizes, making it easy to pair with everything from compact vintage-inspired watches to larger contemporary sports models.

In addition, the Denim Leather material will also be available through our Custom Strap Program, allowing collectors to incorporate this distinctive texture into fully personalised strap configurations. Whether paired with different strap styles (e.g. Slim, Chunky), bespoke sizing, stitching combinations, or specific construction details, Denim Leather opens up an entirely new direction for custom strap design.
