It’s been two years since we launched our Universal Cut-to-Size (CTS) Rubber Straps, and what a ride it’s been. When we first introduced them in 2023, we knew we were onto something—but we had no idea how far we’d take it.
We’ve improved, refined, and expanded the lineup to make CTS straps better than ever. Here’s how we got here—and what’s next.
Where We Started: The Strap Landscape in 2021
Back in 2021, rubber straps were mostly found on sports watches—dive watches, tool watches, pieces built for adventure. If you wanted a CTS strap, your options were even more limited. They only came bundled with specific watches like the Patek Aquanaut, Sinn U1, or Hublot Big Bang, and they weren’t interchangeable.
And if you wanted a CTS strap? Your options were basically nonexistent unless you owned a watch that came with one, like the Patek Aquanaut or Hublot Big Bang.
The problem? Those CTS straps were locked to specific models. No swapping, no mixing and matching—just one strap for one watch.
We saw the potential. A CTS strap gives you a custom-tailored fit, no extra tail flapping around, no keepers in sight. But why should only a handful of watches have that experience? We wanted to bring CTS to everyone.
The Journey: How We Pushed CTS Further
1. Elevating the Clasp
We didn’t just introduce CTS straps—we improved the way it functions. Instead of relying on off-the-shelf deployant clasps like the butterfly clasp, we developed our clasp with a leaf spring mechanism. It wasn’t just about looks; this design ensured a smoother, more secure closure with a crisp, satisfying snap.
Since then, we’ve expanded and improved the clasp, making it both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Here are all the changes we made to it:
Micro Adjustment
We added one micro adjust to the original clasp to allow you to get the perfect fit, and have some room to adjust should your wrist size change over time.
New Colors and Materials
We launched clasps in different colors to better match the different watches out there, and a Titanium Clasp for all those who wished to have a matching clasp for their titanium watches!
Curved Clasp
We updated the two clasp heads to have a curved profile improves on the fit of the clasp, and provides a cleaner and more cohesive look when wearing the CTS.
2. Expanding Styles: More Than Just a Rubber Strap
The original CTS Rubber Straps were a game-changer, but we didn’t stop there. We listened to the community, and the demand was clear: more variety, more ways to express personal style.

Curved CTS Straps: We introduced Curved Straps to be able to fit watches that needed a curved strap, such as the watches from Ming, Ulysse Nardin, Vacheron Constantin, F.P. Journe just to name a few.

Integrated CTS Straps: We introduced new integrated straps to fit watches in the market that had little to no options, starting off with the Tissot PRX, Vacheron Constantin Overseas, Tudor Black Bay 58, Black Bay Pro, before moving to other popular watches like the Rolex Submariner and Omega Speedmaster.

Patterned CTS Straps: We introduced unique textures like Mosaic, Tropical, Pilot and Waffle, giving watch lovers new ways to elevate their setups.
3. Perfecting the Fit & Experience
We knew that making CTS universal wasn’t just about offering the strap—it was about making sure customers got the perfect fit, every time. That’s why we built a library of trimming guides, fit charts, and tutorials, making the process seamless for first-time users.

What’s Next: The Future of CTS
Two years in, we’re not slowing down. Our next big milestone? Micro-adjustment capabilities.
CTS already delivers a custom-tailored fit, but we’re taking it a step further. A micro-adjust system will give wearers on-the-fly adjustments for those moments when your wrist expands or contracts throughout the day. No tools, no re-cutting—just effortless comfort whenever you need it.
The past two years have been incredible, but we’re just getting started. At Delugs, we don’t just make straps—we redefine them. And we can’t wait to show you what’s next.
