The Royal Pop reimagined for the wrist. By Delugs.

Swatch x AP Royal Pop pocket watch

The Opportunity

A beautiful watch. With nowhere to wear it.

On 16 May 2026, Swatch and Audemars Piguet released the Royal Pop — a pop-art reimagining of the Royal Oak as a convertible pocket watch. Eight bioceramic colorways, a Sistem51 movement, sapphire crystals, and the iconic octagonal bezel. Priced at USD 400–420.

The catch: it is not a wristwatch. It ships with a calfskin lanyard, a clip holder, and a desk stand. To wear it, you put it in your pocket.

For most collectors, that is not enough. A Royal Oak belongs as a wristwatch — that's the whole point. The question on every forum, in every group chat, in every comment section the moment this launched: how do I wear this as a wristwatch?

The most-asked question of the year: how do I wear it?

Our Direction

Developing the case-strap to wear it on the wrist.

Delugs has always been about giving the watch community more strap options for the watches they love. The Royal Pop is no exception — people want to wear this as a wristwatch, not just carry it as a pocket watch. So we're developing the case-strap to make that happen.

For the LépineLépine · 6 References

For the Lépine

Crown at 12 by design. Our case-strap rotates the watch so the crown sits at roughly 2 o'clock when worn — a driver's-watch angle that makes the time easier to read at a glance. Inspired by the Cartier Asymmétrique and the Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921. Fits all six Lépine references.

For the SavonetteSavonette · 2 References

For the Savonette

Crown at 3 with small seconds at 9 — a lateral, asymmetric layout. A distinct case-strap design needed to accommodate the offset crown. Fits both Savonette references: Lan Ba and OTG ROZ.

Wrist mockups shown across this page are AI-generated to illustrate the direction — the final case-strap will look different. These are early-stage R&D explorations, not finished products. Join the waitlist above to follow the development.

The Lineup

All eight references.

Six Lépine (crown at 12) and two Savonette (crown at 3). Each in its own bioceramic colorway.

R&D Track Record

We've done this before.

When a watch has no existing aftermarket support, we build one. Three examples from our archive of first-to-market and proprietary mechanisms.

Tissot PRX Straps

First to Market · 2022

Tissot PRX Straps

When the PRX launched, the integrated-bracelet shape meant no aftermarket strap on the market would fit. We built one. Delugs was the first independent strap maker to ship a fitted leather and rubber for the PRX — and shipped the first units within weeks of the watch's launch.

Cartier Santos · D-Lock Adapter

The Santos uses a proprietary QuickSwitch system that locks out aftermarket straps. We engineered the D-Lock — our own adapter mechanism, internally developed and patented — that bridges the Santos case to any Delugs strap. The first aftermarket Santos strap solution that fits properly.

Micro-Adjust CTS Clasp

Most clasp innovation in the industry comes from the brands. We built our own — the Micro-Adjust CTS Clasp, with 6mm of on-wrist micro-adjustment, designed and engineered entirely in-house. Used across our CTS Rubber Strap collection.

Questions

Common questions.

We are in active R&D from the moment the Royal Pop launched. We don't make promises on timelines we can't keep — but we will email everyone on the waitlist the moment we have a release date, and again when units ship.
Every concept we are exploring is non-destructive. The Royal Pop ships with a removable clip holder — our solutions either work with the existing clip, replace the clip with a strap-bearing version of the same form factor, or hold the watch in a custom cradle. No drilling, no modification, no permanent change to the case. We respect the watch.
No. Delugs is an independent watch strap company. The case-straps we develop for the Royal Pop are aftermarket — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sold through Swatch or Audemars Piguet. We have a strong track record of building aftermarket solutions for watches that the brands themselves do not service.
Delugs has been a dedicated watch strap company for years, with hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers around the world and flagship boutiques in Singapore and Hong Kong. We're a team of watch enthusiasts who obsess over the small things — stitching, edge finish, taper, on-wrist feel — and our portfolio spans thousands of watch references, including pieces the brands themselves do not support. We also partner directly with watch brands on official strap collaborations. The work in our R&D Track Record above — Tissot PRX, Cartier Santos D-Lock, the Micro-Adjust CTS Clasp — was engineered in-house. Project WristPop is built on the same process we've used for every Delugs product.
Yes — but across two case-strap designs. The six Lépine references (crown at 12) share one case-strap, designed to rotate the crown to roughly 2 o'clock when worn. The two Savonette references (crown at 3, small seconds at 9) share a different case-strap built around that lateral layout. Between the two designs, every colorway is covered.
We don't know yet — pricing depends on the final design and materials. We'll share specifics with the waitlist before public launch. As a frame of reference, our custom straps generally start at USD 150 and our most engineered solutions (like our Cartier Santos D-Lock) sit higher.
