How it started
It started with Gumball 3000.
In 2024, Ulysse Nardin approached us about the Freak X Gumball 3000 Limited Edition — a watch built for one of the world's most unhinged motoring rallies.
The brief was direct: design a strap that could keep up. Bold, adventurous, ready to take a beating across continents. We delivered a custom orange FKM rubber strap, curved to fit the Freak X case exactly, with a brushed titanium clasp.
The response from rally drivers and Freak collectors was immediate. What started as a one-watch collaboration has become an ongoing partnership, now spanning the entire Freak X lineup in six colours.
"What began as a one-off collaboration quickly turned into something bigger."
The Watch
About the Freak X.
In 2001, under Rolf Schnyder and Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, Ulysse Nardin released a watch with no crown, no dial, and no hands. The movement itself rotated to tell the time. It was the first commercial watch in history to use silicon — a material the rest of the industry would not catch up to for another decade.
The Freak rewrote what a watch could be. Time as kinetic sculpture. Engineering as the point, not what's hidden behind it.
The Freak X is the most accessible expression of that vision. A 43mm titanium case, the in-house UN-230 movement with a 3 Hz silicium balance and 72 hours of power reserve. The flying carrousel, in less weight, less price, and just as much attitude as the original.

The Strap
One curved fit. Six colours.
The Freak X is not a watch you put just any strap on. The case shape is unconventional, the lug profile is custom, and the wrist presence demands a strap that earns its place.
The Curved CTS Rubber was developed in close collaboration with Ulysse Nardin. The end-link curves to match the case profile exactly. Both the strap and the leaf-spring deployant clasp went through Ulysse Nardin's own testing process for fit, finish, and durability — and were only released after they passed.
Six colours. All in FKM rubber. Cut to your wrist, fastened on the same deployant.
Engineered for the Freak X
The end-link curves to match the Freak X case profile exactly. We sent prototypes to Ulysse Nardin until the strap and clasp passed their fit and finish standards.
Cut to your wrist
Sizing the strap is easy and you can do it from home — all you need is a pair of scissors and some patience. No excess tail, no strap keepers, no spare holes.
Leaf-spring deployant
316L stainless steel deployant with a snappy leaf-spring mechanism (it's not a magnet). Secure on the wrist, satisfying to put on, built to last.

Why change your strap?
A strap swap is the simplest way to completely transform how a watch looks and feels. Same Freak X, six different watches — chosen by you, for the day you're having.

A new look, instantly
Go from a black FKM for a Saturday drive to an orange Gumball-tribute for the weekend out. Same Freak X — completely different watch.

Make it truly yours
Two collectors can own the same Freak X reference. The one with the navy on Tuesday and the olive on Friday is wearing a different watch from the one in factory rubber. Your strap is how the watch becomes yours.

Easier than you think
Quick-release spring bars on every strap mean swapping colours takes seconds, not a trip to a watchmaker. The cut-to-size sizing is just as straightforward — measure, mark, cut along the groove. A pair of household scissors is enough.
How to size your CTSQuestions
Common questions.
Our Curved CTS Rubber Straps are engineered specifically for the Freak X case shape, with a custom curved end-link that sits flush against the lugs — no aftermarket adapter required. The strap and clasp have both been tested and approved by Ulysse Nardin. If your reference appears in the Strap Finder above, it fits.
Delugs is the Official Strap Partner of Ulysse Nardin. The straps are designed and manufactured by Delugs, and have been through Ulysse Nardin's testing process for fit, finish, and material durability before being approved for sale.
All you need is a pair of scissors. The tail of the CTS strap has a series of cutting grooves and spring bar holes — measure your wrist, cut along the nearest groove, and install the spring bar in the last hole. The full step-by-step guide is in our help centre at delugs.com/blogs/help-center/how-to-cut-to-size.
FKM (also known as Viton) is the highest-grade fluoroelastomer used in watch straps. It does not get sticky in heat, does not stiffen in cold, resists UV and most chemicals, and lasts substantially longer than silicone or polyurethane. Most rubber straps on the market are not FKM. Ours always are.
We offer free international shipping with warehouses in Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Most orders are dispatched within 24 hours and arrive within 2–4 business days to most destinations.
We offer a 14-day return on unworn straps in original condition. If the fit isn't right or the colour isn't what you expected, we will exchange or refund — no questions, no restocking fees.

About Delugs
A Strap Specialist, Not a General Store
Founded in Singapore, Delugs is dedicated to elevating watch ownership through the simple yet powerful act of strap changing. We believe straps are how a timepiece is worn, perceived, and enjoyed — and our mission is to make strap changing a lifestyle.
We work closely with watch brands to craft straps that complement their timepieces, and our direct-to-consumer focus keeps us closely connected with the watch enthusiast community. Each leather strap takes 4–6 hours to handcraft; our rubber straps are precision-moulded from FKM rubber.
How We Build
Quality You Can See and Feel
Handcrafted with Care
Every leather strap is handcrafted through over a dozen steps — cutting, splitting, skiving, stitching, edge painting, and quality inspection. No shortcuts.

Wear-Tested and Stress-Tested
Every product is worn daily by our team and put through rigorous durability testing before release. If it doesn't hold up in the lab and on the wrist, it doesn't ship.

Designed by Collectors, for Collectors
We're watch collectors who build products we want to use. Custom quick-release spring bars, CTS rubber straps, the Strap Finder — all born from our own frustrations as watch owners.
