For those new to our CTS straps, we've included a comprehensive guide to wearing and cutting the strap to ensure a perfect fit. As the installation of this clasp requires the removal and installation of a non-quick-release spring bar, we recommend purchasing a Single Prong Spring Bar tool if you do not already have one. This tool will make the installation process straightforward and hassle-free.

Rubber Strap for Cartier Santos – Beautiful Design but Falls Short on Functionality

I had high expectations for this strap given its price point, and while there are some positives, there are also a few disappointing aspects that I feel need to be addressed.

Firstly, the strap I received has some brown residue around one of the adaptors that attach it to the watch. I assume this is glue, and while I understand it’s a minor detail that is mostly hidden when the strap is on the watch, it’s still visible when the watch is taken off. This wasn’t something I noticed in your promo photos, so I was a little sad to see it on my strap.

Secondly, the clasp design. I understand that you’ve prioritized a clean and minimal look by avoiding traditional buckles, magnets, or locks, and instead relied on the material bending to secure the strap. While I appreciate the attempt at a clean aesthetic, it’s quite difficult to bend the metal with one hand when putting the watch on, so I think it is a bit inconvenient to use.

Since there’s no magnet or locking mechanism, the clasp moves slightly—pressing on one side causes the other side to lift a little. Even I know the strap is well secured but this movement on the clasp makes the strap detracts from the overall experience.

Another concern is the sizing process. Since the strap needs to be cut to adjust the size, it’s a bit nerve-wracking to get it right. I’ve left four grooves on each side of the strap, and while it’s still a bit big on my wrist, I’m afraid to cut one more on one side because it might become imbalanced—and there’s no way to undo it if I make a mistake. This makes adjusting the strap feel risky and stressful, especially for such an expensive product.

I appreciate the effort to create a sleek and innovative design, and the materials themselves seem high-quality. However, the brown glue, the lack of a proper locking mechanism, and the stressful sizing process make it hard to fully enjoy the strap.
