Strap Guide: Zelos Eagle 2 Ti 'Arctic'

Introduction

The Zelos Eagle 2 Ti 'Arctic' has a lot going on in terms of design and construction - there are grey tones from the gunmetal case finish, a hexagonal mid-case design, a white Cerakoted bezel, and a white fully lumed dial. I initially thought finding straps for this watch might be challenging, but it turned out to be a very easy watch to dress up. The watch came with a pilot-style textured FKM rubber strap and a titanium buckle. The stock strap was surprisingly good, but I've never been a big fan of the pilot strap style, so I jumped into my strap folio as soon as this watch arrived and picked out the following straps for it.

Grey Rubber CTS

This is the first strap that I tried on the watch and it seemed like a perfect fit. The clean texture of this grey CTS fits perfectly with the somewhat modern aesthetic of this watch. The subtle grainy texture of the strap matches the gunmetal and Cerakoted finish perfectly. Titanium cases with CTS straps are a flawless combo. I didn't have a titanium or color-matched CTS Deployant clasp but Delugs has a Gunmetal Titanium CTS Deployant Clasp that should fit this watch perfectly.

Black Rubberised Leather (Togo) Signature

My most used strap material is rubber, so the next strap is obviously the Rubberised Leather, and I went with the Togo texture for a bit of visual interest. I'm sure this would look great on the smooth options too. I find a sense of design continuity between the hexagonal pattern on the midcase and the Togo texture, and in terms of versatility, you can't go wrong with a black strap.

Denim Alcantara Signature

Continuing my theme of weather-resistant materials, I switch to this denim blue Alcantara strap when I'm looking for a bit of color. Alcantara is another excellent material to wear daily without worry, I've had this particular strap in my collection for almost two years now, and it looks like it hasn't aged a day.

Green & Mustard Delcro

These are a bit more wildcard options when I feel like experimenting with some color. The green is perfect for an outdoorsy aesthetic, and I love how it looks against the grey case. I hesitated with the Mustard, but Ashley, Community Manager for Delugs, suggested this pairing and I must admit it looks great on this watch. The exact kind of cheerful and fun pairing you'd want in your strap arsenal for the approaching summer months.
