Introduction

Hi, I am Pasquale, on the web I am known as PSQ Watches, an Italian page where I tell my passion for the world of watches. Those who know me know how much I love the world of straps and I want to thank Delugs from the start for this fantastic opportunity to make a Strap Guide, a series that I love to read.

Today we are going to talk about what are the right pairings for a watch that, in my opinion, is fantastic: the IWC Pilot Chronograph 41mm with blue dial.

IWC with this watch completely shifted the perception of their idea of the pilot, of the watch as a tool. And it's all thanks to the blue they have managed to create, to the dimensionality you can achieve with this large and deep dial.

But while blue is a hypnotic and fantastic color to wear, it remains one of the most difficult colors to match with the various straps. Which is why you will see simple and versatile straps today, despite the fact that Delugs' catalog is truly exotic and distinctive.

My idea when looking for the right strap is always this: you don't have to exalt the strap, you have to exalt the watch. You have to understand that it's important to find the perfect match to make the watch stand out in its entirety and never look extreme or out of place.

Natural Nubuck Slim

This leather is extremely soft so I thought about what is comfortable to wear, for those who are looking for that touch of color (in this case natural) but without necessarily having to push it too much. It remains more matte than the classic Cordovan so more in line with the watch. It’s comfortable and classic, always just right.

Taupe Epsom Slim

This is Delugs' must-have, probably the strap I most recommend, to any kind of enthusiast and on any kind of watch. It's rich in texture but not invasive. It’s resistant but comfortable. It has a versatile color and I think paired with this blue it creates a perfect combo.

Dark Brown Alcantara Signature

Could I have not chosen it? Delugs uses an Italian origin Alcantara and using this strap the first thing you feel is softness. Its finish is very sporty, but by selecting such a dark color you are able to get a touch of elegance that for me makes it versatile. I selected a dark brown because I think it's perfect for dark blue and goes very well with the pilot style of the watch.

Copper Ostrich Signature

Now I want to tell you about one of the most beautiful straps I have ever tried. With this strap I wanted to be very brave with the elegant philosophy of this material.

The texture is fantastic, the quality is superlative, and I think the contrast with the sportiness of the IWC is a perfect mix of colors and feel.

Matte Navy Alligator Signature

In Italy we say: class is not water. This is a classic, if you are looking for an elegant strap, suitable for every context and situation, this is the one to choose. I selected a dark matte blue to make it even more fine and elegant, creating, as with the Ostrich, a very interesting contrast between the philosophy of the strap and the watch. In this case the tone on tone makes the watch much simpler and less invasive on any kind of outfit.
