Introduction

Having a Grand Seiko in the collection is a lot of fun. Their dials are the star of the show, that and their finishing, so I thought it would be interesting to see how it would pair with different straps. It would have to be something that did not take away from the highlights mentioned but thankfully there are many options available.

Gold Chevre Slim

The slim profile of this strap works well with the 37mm size of this case. The warm color of the strap also complements the pink dial as well. I happen to be a sucker for a nice brown strap so it was easy to like this pairing.

Pink Rubber CTS

Pink strap with a pink dial? It was an easy choice. The strap color is more vibrant and deeper, which works well to contrast against the relatively light hue of the pink on this dial.

White Sailcloth Signature

Experimenting with the soft sailcloth this time, I went with the white version to compliment the pink and I think it worked out well! The strap is exceptionally soft and knowing that it can take a little water activity is a plus too!

Brown Alcantara Signature "Teddy Bear"

This was the wildcard of the straps chosen. The texture is not one that I would normally go for but thought it would be fun. A strap combo that you don’t have to take so seriously. The soft texture contrasts against the sharp details of this case in an interesting way. I enjoyed it this one and will go back to it when I want something a bit different.

Cream Rubber CTS

This might be my favorite combo yet. The color works well with the dial color and the rubber means that it can take some abuse. Makes this piece a fun sporty wrist companion!
