Introduction
The day I finally secured my first Formex felt like striking gold. As a budding watch enthusiast, Formex was this legendary brand, revered for its craftsmanship and unique design. But, as you know, reviews only go so far. Nothing beats the feeling of holding a coveted watch in your own hands.
The Formex Essence was instantly captivating with its mesmerising deep green dial and stunning bracelet. However, for a self-confessed, compulsive strap changer like myself, the itch for experimentation soon set in.
Taupe Saffiano Signature (Curved)
My journey began with the Taupe Saffiano Signature Strap, a natural choice. Its neutral elegance allowed the green dial to shine, creating a visually pleasing look. This combination would be perfect for everyday wear or a casual evening out.
Dark Grey Alcantara Signature (Curved)
Next, I sought a more practical option: the Dark Grey Alcantara Signature Strap. While I adore the look and feel of suede, Alcantara's superior resistance to moisture and stains made it the wise choice for long-term use. The deep grey shade complemented the watch beautifully, quickly becoming a personal favourite for its versatility and practicality.
Green Buttero Slim (Curved)
Initially hesitant about a whole green ensemble, I took inspiration from "Hulk" owners (without owning one myself). This pairing turned out to be a smashing success. The Green Buttero strap seamlessly matches the dial, creating a striking and unmistakable look.

Since Formex offered only black rubber straps, I couldn't resist getting this White CTS Rubber strap. The FKM material provided excellent comfort and durability. Still, the show's true star was the ingenious leaf spring deployant clasp. Its effortless functionality won me over. This strap offers unmatched comfort and practicality, making it the ideal companion for travel or any activity where flexibility and ease of use are paramount.
Matte Mahogany Alligator Signature (Curved)
Finally, for dressier occasions, I sought a touch of sophistication. The Matte Mahogany Alligator Signature Strap stepped up to the plate beautifully. The Essence, I believe, is a genuine GADA watch – perfect for almost any occasion. The elegant Matte Mahogany Alligator strap elevated its look effortlessly, transforming it into a timepiece suitable for even the most formal events.
