Shell Cordovan is the top tier leather available, before the category of exotics. It comes from the hind of a horse, and because the fibres are packed so densely together, the leather that results from that is incredibly durable. While Shell Cordovan is usually a stiff leather, when made in the Slim style, it is very flexible and a great companion to your dress watch.
The Shell Cordovan we use comes from Shinki Hikaku tannery in Japan. Typical of most shell cordovan, it has a high gloss finish. Unique to Shinki Shell, the surface is extremely uniform and clean, with a beautiful depth of colour. This leather is so durable that it is likely to last as long as your mechanical timepiece!

The strap looks even better in person. I think the green/brown hue will go great with any vintage or vintage-themed watch. The stitching looks rather loud in the pictures but is a bit more subdued in natural light.
On my 16cm wrist the small (105/65) fits great with the tang buckle, and doesn't have much excess strap. If you have a similar size wrist but were considering a deployant clasp you might want to go one size up so you have enough strap to work with.
And kudos to the Delugs team for making such an easy-to-change buckle. Took no more than two minutes to swap out the brushed buckle with a polished one!
I love shell cordovan straps and have purchased others from Rios1931 and Fluco. In my opinion, the Delugs shell cordovan is the highest quality. It has a nice shiny sheen to it, which looks perfect of dressier watches. The olive green matches nicely with yellow gold watches.
