When I first took this strap out, the colour definitely struck me as being slightly more grey. Nothing ever compares to seeing something in the flesh and I have to say that while I was apprehensive at first, after I fitted it on, it looked great on my two-tone 41mm Datejust. The main reason I wanted to go from a bracelet to a strap was because I found my Datejust a bit too loud for some occasions. That watch and bracelet can get pretty shiny and reflective, and those who own one will be able to attest to this.
So, this new strap worked like a charm. I wanted something more subtle and the way the black dial transitions to the gold bezel, to the steel lugs, to the strap in my opinion is seamless and just works. You can see that in the pics for yourselves.
Other than the colour, I've had it on for a day now and wearability is fine. It was comfortable and is more flexible and softer option to the bracelet. Overall, I think this is a great strap if you can find the right watch to pair it with - especially one where you want the watch to be the hero, and for the strap to be a silent complementary partner that isn't your usual brown or black options.
Nice combination of the white creamy dial and the dark blue (nearly grey, actually) strap. I also like the nice texture as well.
This may well be the most favorite strap I've received from Delugs. Although most straps are soft when new, this one takes it to the next level. It's luxuriously supple and pliable, which means to say, these will conform to your wrist without any need for break-in and will be comfortable from Day 1. The cross hatch graining of the leather combined with the slim unpadded profile makes for a very attractive look on wrist.
I got this for my Omega FOIS, and am loving the vintage vibe that this combination has. Shipping was fast and professionally packaged.
