Our popular Epsom leather now comes in Side-Stitch style too, for an even more casual look. The scratch and water resistant proper of Epsom leather makes it ideal for every day wear.
All watch straps will come with our Delugs tang buckle and quick release bars, so that you can easily swap out between your favourite watch straps and not have to fuss about scratching your watch lugs. No one will judge you for changing straps every day! And of course, all our straps are handcrafted by highly skilled artisans, to craft the straps that you watch deserves.
Straps in the Side-Stitch collection have the minimalist look, but still go all out on the construction and durability. There are a total of 3 layers of various material that goes into each strap, with each layer serving a specific purpose. From top to bottom, they are: (1) exterior leather, (2) synthetic strengthener, (3) lining leather.
All layers are firstly glued and pressed together, before they are stitched at the crucial points (lugs, buckle and fixed keeper). Finally, the edges are finished with edge paint, which adds an additional layer along the exposed edges of leather and protects it from wear and tear, and water damage, over time. This also prevents the different layers from separating - a crucial layer of prevention given that the strap isn't stitched all around.
Lug Width: Find out the lug width of your watch mode. You can do this by searching the following "(watch model) lug width" in Google. Once you know the lug width (for e.g. 20mm), select the 20/18 variant for the lug width. 20 refers to the lug width, while 18 refers to the buckle width. Our straps come with a taper because it looks classier than straight straps.
Size: Not sure what size (length) to get for the straps? There are two methods to determine this.Method 1: If you have an existing strap on your watch, measure the long and short straps, sum up the lengths, and choose the variant (Small or Medium) that is the closest to the total length of your existing straps. For example, if your existing straps measure 105mm on the long strap and 80mm on the short strap, the total length is 185mm. The closest variant would be Medium (115mm/70mm = 185mm). Note that this is still an approximation, and you should adjust accordingly if your current strap does not fit your wrist perfectly.
Method 2: If your existing watch does not have a normal strap (you have a bracelet on), you would need to measure your wrist size and purchase the strap size according to the guidelines below. If you are between sizes (for e.g. wrist size of 17.5cm), we recommend to size up.
First of all, the dispatch time and delivery speed was incredible. The strap itself is beautifully made. Leather smells awesome with no break in time required. The only criticisms (hence 4* versus 5) is the buckle would've been nicer if it was polished instead of bead blasted considering the dressy nature of the strap, and the pin was a little too big for the holes. I will be swapping the pin buckle for something else to go with my SARB035.
I was very excited about this brand after reading an article on Fratello Watches, and several reddit post. After recently purchasing my grail watch a vintage Calatrava I knew the honey moon period would be long and pleasurable. I was excited to get multiple straps to make with any attire. I also have a Chronograph with odd lug/buckle width, that was in need of a refresh. I purchased four straps from Delugs, one of which was bespoke with the infamous 21/16 curved lug style and they absolutely nailed it. It was created with the wrong lining color but a gentleman named Ken reached out to me with photos prior to shipping and allowed decide rather I wanted it re-crafted. I decided to take it as is and couldn’t be more pleased, the blue crocodile accents the rose gold case of my Perregaux Chronograpie Classique perfectly and I’ll eventually purchase another bespoke strap for it to wear during the winter months. For the Calatrava I choose Bordeaux epsom, Green Dollaro, and Blue Dollaro. After a through examination I can say the craftsmanship is on par or exceeds anyone offering hand made leather goods. Shipping was quick and inexpensive. If you have purchased from Ateleir’s in France or Italy that’s the level these guys are putting on. Thank you for being an awesome value proposition!
