Alcantara material from Italy is a cutting-edge material that offers unparalleled aesthetic, technical and sensory qualities. While it is most similar to suede and microfiber, it would be inaccurate to categorise Alcantara as any of those material. It is most commonly used in the interior of luxury cars, but its uses has since expanded to everyday goods like wallets, card holders, phone covers, bags etc. It is extremely soft to the touch, and provides a very luxurious feel when made into a strap.

What I love is the attention to details even down to the nomenclature. To differentiate between the blues, most people would probably just go navy vs. light blue. Not Delugs. This Royal Blue is every bit as majestic as I excepted. A deep blue.
Then there’s the feel of Alcantara, very plush and soft to touch, the kind of strap you can wear all day without wrist fatigue. (Yes that’s a thing).

Having purchased from Delugs on a number of occasions before, of course it's first in mind when it's time for me to find a replacement strap for the moonswatch. I was looking for something that is colourful, cheerful, at the same time exhibits simplicity in one package. I ordered the Alcantara in Royal Blue, and Voilla - it was such as excellent pairing, with the "consistent" quality of Delugs that I have come to expect. Highly recommended.
