Chevre leather from Alran tannery is most often used in small leather goods. The beauty of Alran Chevre is in the texture and grain. It has a slight pebbled texture that is very smooth to the touch, making any product immediately look luxurious. The pebbled surface on Chevre is formed naturally from the raw goat leather and the tanning process, and not embossed on. It also has fine pebbled grain patterns and is slightly shiny. Chevre has very strong water and scratch-resistant properties.
Note: These straps will also fit other Cartier models, as long as the lug width is the same. For example, the Tank Small strap will fit the Tank Cintree, which has a 16mm lug width. It will not fit the Tank Solo models, which come in different lug widths.

Strap feels great and wears super comfortable. At first I was a little apprehensive about the price but you really get what you pay for. Super supple and looks fantastic.

Changing straps on my watches is something I really like doing, pairing them with either what I'm wearing that day or my particular mood. The best thing about watch straps is they mold to your wrist and a generally way more comfortable for me than metal bracelets. The tough thing, however, is finding good straps on places like Amazon or Etsy, where straps could either be hit or miss, even within seller offerings. I happened upon the Delugs brand watching a YouTube review, and although a little more expensive than my usual pairings, they are still much cheaper than manufacturer's offerings.
Well, I finally pulled the trigger on the Gold Chevre Cartier Tank strap when my Cartier Solarbeat Tank came in. Not only did I receive it in 5 days international shipping to California, before it was shipped Customer Service contacted me to make sure I wanted the extra buckle I accidentally added into my cart. They were able to cancel the buckle before shipping. This Tank strap is thin (in a good way) and already feels so comfortable and broken in that when I placed it on my wrist the first day, I even forgot I was wearing a watch by the end of the day. The color and texture looks and feels better than the original Cartier.
My only gripe with the watch is the length of the buckle side strap. I ordered the Large size because that was the only way to get a longer buckle side (75mm), but that also extended the long end to 125mm, which places the buckle (when strapped) too off-centered from the bottom of my wrist and makes the extra length of strap a little too long. I measured some of my other straps from good aftermarket companies, and most have the buckle side at 80mm, 85mm, 90mm
and even 100mm, which makes a lot more sense because if I'm ordering a Large, I'm probably a man. I have a 6.5" wrist, which means if I had a more average wrist side, the offset of the buckle would be even worse.

Very nice and soft leather strap that looks great on my Tank Solarbeat. Manufacturing quality of the buckle could be a bit better, but overall ok.
